Been down to kennels- Pam & Kevin already aware & so far Skipper has not come through to them. As this is the kennels that stray dogs are taken to - IF she gets a call they will call the owner. Pam already spoken to owner. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owners, sorry to see you have lost Skipper. You need to poster as much and as widely as you can and in particular in the area where you immediately lost her. it is VITAL you check with local pounds as if she is picked up and taken in to one they only have to keep her there for 7 days before rehoming or passing her on to another rescue. if possible visit them in person to be sure she is not there. From personal  experience I can recall a Ridgeback missing in Barnlsey that ended up in a pound at Huddersfield and the pound did not realise the dog was a Ridgeback and had him down as a cross breed !!! From there he then ended up at a rescue in Retford so DONT rely on the kennels to always recognise a breed. Also inform dog wardens aorund your area and as many vets as you can. Looking on the map I think if she is picked up as a stray skipper could  be taken to Mount Pleasant kennels at Hampole (01302 722748) or Carlton Forest kennels at Worksop. One of our co-ordinators (Tracyb) will be at Carlton Forest kennels tomorrow and I am going to text her and ask her to look out for Skipper there. Hope you get some news very soon X Pam      Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
