- Check ALL outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars, THOROUGHLY as she is most probably hiding somewhere. Check up trees; any decking too. Also check behind hedges/bushes etc. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as her scent will be there; litter tray contents too. She is probably too scared to move from her hiding place. I would advise the owner to take a good walk around all the surrounding areas, holding an object with her scent on, such as her UNWASHED blanket, and something with your scent on too. also UNWASHED, because your the one she trusts. And of course take with you her cat carrier. She will probably stay where she is, until she thinks its safe enough re: her owner being present. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too.
Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant. Hand out as many posters as you can; where, and when you can. Ask family, friends, and neigbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. The best time to search for a cat is when darkness falls. But stay safe. Paws xd.
