- Joan ..thanks for everything that you do to try and reunite dogs. However we have no control over what information the dog wardens provide and it is due to our volunteers taking the time to register these dogs that we may have a chance with matching lost and found dogs. Thanks again for what you do x

- Hi Karen, I often look at the found posts, and try to look back through some of the very old Doglost pages for any possible match. As we've seen recently, some of the missing dogs have turned up many miles from home, many months or even years later. For those without a chip, or with a chip no longer working, the photo and description take on a greater significance.......sorry, I'll stop wittering!!

- Joan - these photos are whatever are supplied by the Dog Warden as these dogs are put into kennels or just caught. If anyone thinks that this dog is theirs, they can call the number for more information - this detail written by Gilly P below
Here is their link with a 2nd photo on in case you want to see

- Especially in cases where no chip found, it would be helpful if found photos could be more informative, eg, head, left, right side including legs and tail so that all markings, coat patterns etc can be seen. Often the photos are so poor it would be very difficult for an owner to identify a found dog as their missing pet. Not sure how this can be achieved. Would dog wardens allow local dogslost volunteers to take additional photos for example.....
