Blimey what an eye opener! It would never have occurred to me that anyone would openly advertise something stolen - I often see dogs for sale in shop windows and will certainly take a critical look at them from now on. Welcome home Buster! Lin  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

BUSTER IS HOME!!!! After the Heybridge tip off, owners were able to find some further info and the Police then intervened and Buster was handed into the station this morning. Well done everyone involved, owners worked hard postering and it paid off - poster power works again! And thanks to the Police too. Buster seems fine and everyone is pleased to have him back. Welcome home boy!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Lin, thanks for your offer of help. Any posters you can put up in your local area would really help Liz and Buster......the more people aware that Buster is missing the better. Also, there was some information that Buster is being offered for sale in the Heybridge area. So if you know anyone over that way or you can put posters up there that would be a massive help.....we need to make the gorgeous Buster too hot to handle. Also, keep an eye out for ads in the local papers, shops etc just incase.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Liz - sorry to hear about Buster. I only just noticed you live in my home town - if I can help in any way please just say (I live in Wantz Road) I would be pleased to help. My thoughts are with you and Buster. I will check back here each day.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Buster went missing from Elliot Way in Maldon which is fairly close to the High Street. It is not known whether he escaped or was stolen. He disappeared in quite a short space of time (and has never escaped before) so owners think it is possible he was taken. It was around 5.30pm he disappeared and neighbours out in garden didn't see any sign of him. Liz has contacted dog wardens, vets etc and is postering the local area too. No calls as yet. She's going to try and get some media coverage and hope that with the posters brings the all important call. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Liz, sorry to see the gorgeous Buster is missing. I will give you a call tonight to pass on some contact numbers and ideas of places to try. Poster like crazy and make your boy too hot to handle.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dear little man.   If you haven't already done so, print off the poster from this site and poster everywhere, especially near where he disappeared.   It only takes one person to see him and get in touch, but it needs lots of posters.   Also contact dog warden, local vets and rescue centres/kennels on a regular basis, in person, to see if he's there, don't rely on phone calls, they don't always scan for a chip, and remember they only need to keep dogs for 7 days before rehoming.   Great that he's chipped, good luck with the search and stay safe, Buster, lovely boy xx
