Wonderful idea Furlover. I have a couple of friends travelling to the Lake District this weekend so I will ask her to keep her eyes peeled! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Am so sorry to see Freddie is missing .... what a cutie! Hope to see this in the blue very soon. I lived in Burton-In-Kendal for a while but moved back to Yorkshire in 1991 so am a little out of touch with places/people to contact. I did have a couple of thoughts though....  has owner asked if posters could be put up in Burton Service station on M6  as people will stop off there ( walkers etc).    Also could be worth putting posters in "Outdoor shops"  in Kendal, Ambleside etc ( if this hasnt already been done) and usual petrol stations along the main routes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just been talking with Freddie's owner. She has done very good coverage of all the usual people, places and media, and lots of scenting. I suggested she contacts the Mountain Rescue teams, fell walking and armbling clubs, cycling clubs, and anyone likely to be doing outdoor activities in the area. I've passed details on to friend in Lake District who is involved with trailhounds.

Spoken to owner and there have been no further sightings of Freddie. The area he has previously been sighted at is farmland so have asked owner to go to the farms and give them posters. Freddie is quite shy so he may have hidden in an outbuilding. Owner stated he has a small white flash on his chest but you would need to be close to see it. If anyone is in the local area that could offer anymore help it would be greatly appreciated as I'm too far away. Thanks, Vicki Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
