- Wonderful news. So happy for you, Oscar has probably been shut in somewhere. Maybe a shed. as some cats are attracted by certain smells of wood. And if trapped somewhere they will lick on relevant items to keep themselves hydrated. This is why it`s always best to check ALL outbuildings THOROUGHLY as timid cats may hide in. or behind an object within.
