I would be away while Donny was on his adventures but can't say how happy I am to see that he's safely home!  I was just about to get lots of info onto his page which may help and to contact his owner, when wham!  Here he was in blue.  Keep safe little boy, lots of love xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

WOW this is fantastic news, been a brilliant past 24 hours for the BLUES.  Welcome home Donny, bet the champagne is popping in your household.  Mum give him an extra big hug from everyone on DL and hope you now stay on as a helper in your area looking out for other owners in the position you were in.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I will add one thing, now that I can think better and say that I'm sure he was stolen as he would never have got to where they say he was picked up, But..... he's home so I suppose thats all that matters Keep up the good work, you deserve medals...the Olympics have nothing on you, very special thanks to HazelLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Miracles do happen! I've found him!!!  A couple picked him up on Wed. but didn't report him til Sunday. I finally got through to the Dog Warden and picked him up at Kennels close to here after going to the Council offices to fill out paper-work....... the suspense and worry in case it wasn't him was aweful, but it all paid off and he's home now where he belongs. Even my 12 year old who is so lethargic has been acting like a puppy again! I just want to say how so very grateful I am to you for all your help and encouragement, it really kept me going when I really couldn't think straight. You are worth your weight in gold! My nboy, on the other hand after behaving totally crazy is now behaving as though nothing happened!   God bless you all Much love Jeanx (and one from Donnyx)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done Jean for finding your way on here. You are doing well with your publicity now, but dont forget the local newspapers, freebies, and local radio. Also you will need hundreds of posters and flyers so just keep getting them out there. Eventually you will get some news. Imagine that you need to tell everyone in the world about Donny. Good Luck. Have managed to contact the local kennels but noluck. No-one else is answering the phone so will get busy to-morrow. Saw some botanists out on the Heath and gave them a poster, they were out a couple of days ago but saw nothing. Will be getting other posters laminated in the office to-morrow and get them out.Stationers closed to-day! Have left some messages on more vets surgery's. Many thanks for the smaller posters.....I'm obviously not thinking well.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have heard from Jean and there is no news. She is having to work during this nightmare, and is having a few problems with the computer, and having to poster on her own at present, but hopefully will be back on here with a comment later today. Workmates from work have thankfully offered to help her with postering, and she will continue to contact vets and dog wardens etc when normal service is resumed after the bank holiday. Similar dog photo now on site. Owner please let us know if this is no good, but otherwise if you can work with this, your posters can be printed. To do this, you need to be logged in. Clicl on where it says 'Dog poster 1' towards top left of page, and poster should open up for printing. Please keep us updated on what has been done, and who has been informed. Do this by clicking on the blue cross and leaving us a comment. You will need to get those posters up everywhere now, asap, and make Donny too hot to handle. Hopefully someone will see a poster and give you a call. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner. Donny has seemingly wandered off from his home, set in a rural location. Possibly wandered well up the lane and been picked up by visitors to the area. Donny is eleven years old but does not look or act his age. If he sees a car, or people he will go up to them to investigate, and if the car door is opened he will get in. He has now been missing since wed evening at about 7.00pm, and not a sign. Owner has searched the area continuosly with her other dogs, but no clue. The bracken is very high at the moment, and tangly, but it is unlikely he would be caught up in that as fur half clipped. There should have been an article in The eastern Daily Press & Star today, but we are not sure if it actually went in. Perhaps if anyone saw the article they could let us know. Some vets etc have been notified but owner must do dog wardens, rescue centres, police, and vets over a wider area after the weekend. Have given owner scenting instructions, and advice regarding postering. Unfortunately no photo on either phone, or computer, so we will try to find a similar dog picture for the poster as soon as possible. Lets hope someone has picked him up and are waiting for posters to go up with telephone number on. Stay safe Donny until we find you x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
