So pleased to see Mackie is safe - the dog. Barking was a different dog to the crying / whimpering one, apparently. It’s thought that there is a small dog near Fishersgate according to the thread 🐾

Mackie went missing yesterday and the dog in Fishersgate was first heard Saturday night. It has since been confirmed that this was a dog barking on the new estate nearby.

Hi Jodie: this is the link to the Facebook thread about the whimpering dog (apologies if distressing to read about it but just felt I should tell you in case it’s Mackie) but as I said below if you do think this could be him please take expert help with you to the site & don’t go along and call him in case he gets into a pickle and runs away : https://www.facebook.com/groups/418781578633467/permalink/667397960438493?sfns=mo

Hi Jodie I’ve texted you just now as a dog was heard whimpering / crying near the rail at Fishersgate last night. A lot of people were talking about it, think rail staff were due to look with torches. Not sure that’s the best approach if the dog is scared and more expert advice should be sought, from the local Doglost volunteers I think , or Canine Capture , to ensure the dog is brought to safety. There wasn’t any description of the dog, it was just heard by several people last night at several different times. Of course it was dark and maybe this morning more could be seen - but the thread didn’t have anyone who had an update this morning (lots of people adonh of course). Just thought I’d mention it x
