- Has been a knackering few days and the blood shot eyes are worth it when we get that news the most important call has been made.
Way to go Team Dach and everyone who has helped make this possible you have all been stars.
Taffi Thomas has been amazing as usual and great ending. So much goes on behind the scenes and great when everyone comes together.
So relived for Darren going through the nightmare owners have to endure. You can have some well earned rest now and lots of snuggles with the gorgeous DASH and family. Sending you all big hugs.

POSSIBLE SIGHTING Allerton ROAD , Liverpool 10th Sep ( between 12.45 and 1.30pm)
Near COSTA COFFEE ( Tesco End)
Eye witness had a good look at a miniature blond dachshund which was being carried by a woman with brown curly hair, walking with a man with a silver/black and white double dapple dachshund ( much bigger and older than the cream one ). He was also momentarily put on the floor so she could see his size too .
Dash is a MINIATURE dachshund and looks bigger in the photos than in real life -,he is very small .
We just need to rule out this sighting so if you know the woman then please message Darren or Admins .
CCTV are being checked and shops made aware along with local FB sites .
The eye witness didn’t realise he was STOLEN but later saw the FB posts - these shares are vital at raising awareness and making a huge difference - we just need that one sighting or piece of information - he is out there somewhere - thank you

- CROSS POSTED UPDATE FROM HIS FB GROUP:
Evening gang
Status now escalated from ‘lost’ to ‘stolen’. Crime Reference Number - 19100512635
We’ve had significant details to update you with on the search for little Dash, the long haired, blond Dachshund, throughout the last 24hrs.
To aid with sharing as much detail as possible, here is an overview including updates.
Please share to as many local groups as possible (even if you think it may not be allowed!) just get it out there.
After slipping his collar at around 12:30 yesterday, near the lake in Sefton Park, Dash bolted off. Not long after, he was sighted on Aigburth Drive where it seems he was spooked, probably by all the cars, and froze.
Around this time a woman attempted to pick him up and was bitten by him, which would’ve been a stress response given the circumstances.
Despite being bitten she kept hold of Dash. One witness says she seemed a nice, kind lady who wanted to help. A medic who was passing by, checked out the bite, which apparently was fine.
The woman said to other passers by who had stopped, that she was registered with Vets4Pets and would take him there. She didn’t hang around and left with a man, walking towards Lark Lane, Dash still in her arms.
All local vets were contacted and informed. Dash has not been reported or handed in, nor has he been reported as found to the dog wardens or police.
All authorities are now fully aware of details regarding Dash and various leads are being followed up which is great but we need more help finding this woman.
She may not have access to social media, therefore may not be aware of the search.
That said, it appears she has not made any attempt so far, to reunite Dash with his human companion which saddens and concerns us greatly.
If you have a fur baby of your own you will know the despair Darren is going thru right now. As much as we hate to reflect on this, you can also imagine how confused Dash will be, separated from his doting daddy and the rest of his pack, including his mum, Ruby, who has recently been diagnosed with a hereditary back condition.
As well as potentially having the same hereditary condition as his mum, Dash has treatment for recurring kidney issues and needs continued medical treatment
The woman is described as approximately 5’ 2” in height, average build, white skinned with brown curly bobbed hair.
Please note: Dash is neutered and microchipped.
Please, everyone do all you can to spread the word. Share on social media, Facebook, Twitter, Insta etc. Tell your friends and family, and especially share around school groups (kids are great for spreading information) just keep the momentum going.

We would all appreciate the help if it was one of our dogs. It’s a heartbreaking experience but together we WILL bring Dash home to his loving family. Not only is Darren distraught but his pack are pining for him.
Thanks for everything you have all done so far. The sheer kindness and compassion of strangers has been phenomenal. Let’s do this!

- So late last night, someone found a dog and likely saved the dogs life. I’d guess later this morning when the vets open and the dust settles, the owners will get a call.

- CROSS POSTED UPDATE from fb:
Taffi (Scouse Pets 2)
Update
A lady was seen , by several different eye witnesses whom have come forward , as having picked up a dog matching his description around 12-15/30 outside number 15/17 Aigburth Drive and both her and a man then walked him in her arms towards Lark Lane direction . Dash has not been reported to the police or dog warden as yet and most vets have been contacted as well as microchip company. We need dog lost posters printed and distributed as a matter of urgency to local shops and posted in and around the park. We will however continue to search the area and knock on doors to let the local community aware of him as not everyone is on Facebook . Thank you for all your shares and to everyone that came out to search tonight including the police who helped with our enquiries and Jan Major from Doglost for creating posters to share and admins working hard behind the scenes . - 2019-09-09 22:54 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
