I'm just so relieved for Sizzles and his family, they're at the vets now, he's ok, not lost too much weight, paws a bit sore and slight limp but he's doing fine. Just fantastic he's home safe, owner and family overwhelmed and truly grateful for Sizzles being safe back home - she'll update later a bit more in Sizzles group and she's truly grateful to the man that got Sizzles safe and home to her this morning :) Thank you for the kind words commented below in this blog with myself and Teresa, it's truly appreciated xLast edited: 2019-09-17 12:27:23 by Debbie - Area Volunteer, South London

From Sizzle's FB page "I’m absolutely delighted to follow up on Emma’s post that Sizzles is home safe and sound.

After no sightings for a few days and the last one being near the tracks knowing what we know about dogs and railways it was hard to keep everyone positive but this clever dog kept him self safe.

A tip off was received last night that he may have found a safe place at a local nature reserve and his owner was briefed and off.....

Clothing was placed along with scent trails and there was a period of quiet and observation but nothing happened.

However he was there as after the family had returned home a kind gentleman was able to pick him up and contact Vicki and dropped him off.

We can’t thank that man enough for ending this family’s nightmare.

Vicki will update late once she has spoken to the finder, had some time with Sizzles as the family are overwhelmed.

They also need to make sure Sizzles sees their vet as he has a small limp but is otherwise unharmed by his adventures.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Debbie Maxine Head & Teresa Hicks from our colleagues at Doglost for the work they have done to support Vicki & her family.

I would also like to thank Vicky Alice Bennett herself. It’s been a pleasure to advise her as she has been the kind of owner that is easy to work with, took all advice on board, trusted our experience and was ready to go.

Thank you to each and everyone that shared, postered, sent screen shots and made FB work for him.

Sizzles your grounded!

Stay safe beautiful boy 💜💜💜"

Have emailed admin xx
Note the ones sent earlier BR1 2 3 7 had not been received. Thanks Last edited: 2019-09-16 19:49:39 by reggiemollieros

Says at the bottom alerts went to BR1 2 3 and 7 but I thought the confirmed sighting was Hither Green Balfour Beatty depot and the train station. So they really need to cover from London Bridge to Sidcup now Lewisham and all those possible train stations too. Might be worth emailing admin Debbie? Also I would have a different photo up there given the ones on Facebook are better.

Hi I've been advising and helping owner since Saturday. I've emailed doglost direct but just for info, none of us volunteers have received an email alert regarding sizzles which I'm a bit baffled at as he was registered on here the day he went missing so it's been several days and still no email alerts.Luckily I saw it on Facebook thanks Debbie Last edited: 2019-09-16 15:12:26 by Debbie - Area Volunteer, South London

I tried to add a comment to fb but comments turned off. If seen on railway lines have Network Rail been advised? 03457 11 41 41. They will advise drivers and workers to keep an eye out

From FB page He has unfortunately been spotted multiple times on the railway lines, however as of 9am yesterday morning (his last sighting) we know that he was alive. We have no further updates, but if any of you happen to commute anywhere on the south-eastern network (roughly between Grove Park and Hither Green as that was where he was last spotted) please be extra vigilant on your journey! He has a pinkish spot on his head and a lump on one of his legs, however I’d appreciate it if any sighting of a small white dog was reported back to me as we need any lead we can get! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I hope we can find out what has happened to my dog soon. I’ve had him since I was three years old and I would love to either have him back or at least get some closure.

Sorry to see he is still missing, I saw the post on fb.
I have been looking and spreading the word around BR1 to dog walkers I have seen.
Really hope he is home soon.
Has anyone been going out early morning or late to see if he is out scavenging. Have you contacted hither Green Crem, see if he is hiding in there ?
Rita Weaver
Someone sighted him near Hither Green Station on the embankment behind their Garden we went round there and were calling him this evening after work but he was no longer there he could be anywhere along the rails, injured, scared, hungry or even the unthinkable so sad
Rita Weaver
The rail company are aware but because he hasn’t been sighted on the tracks since yesterday they are assuming he is no longer on the track
