How scary - I know the area really well, I just wonder how Shell managed to cross all those busy roads and arrive unscathed.  He is a very lucky dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Looks like Shell has either been a very lucky boy or he's very canny - Bournemouth Hospital is surrounded by very busy major roads.   He could have gone the country route from Christchurch but would still have had to contend with busy roads - the boy did well.   Was hoping he had come my way - five miles in the opposite direction would have brought him almost to my door!   Welcome home Shell, you look a gorgeous boy, stay safe now.

Shell is home safe but very tired.  He was found under a bush asleep.  Had somehow gone about 5 miles!!!  Owner is overjoyed, such a great ending, all will sleep well tonight (including me).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just as I posted my comment, received photo, now upload.  Posters can be printed by selecting  Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in - email and passord is required).  Good luck and hope to see him in the blue soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do we know where abouts in Christchurch Shell went missing?   This is only a few miles from me and I am happy to help with postering once his photo is on site for the poster, and if we can find out roughly the area.   Poor boy, the weather is foul at the moment, let's hope he's managed to find somewhere sheltered to hole up tonight.   Keep safe, Shell xx

Owner has contacted DW's, vets and been working hard trying to find Shell. They have put some posters up already but will poster more heavily once we have the poster ready on site.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is a very popular area for camping and caravanning.  Have a look at ukcampsite.co.uk to get a list of various campsites that you could contact to see if they will put up posters for you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
