- Wonderful news - welcome home Lady. I'm sure she's enjoying the comfort of her nice cosy bed and hot water bottle - what a lovely vision! I'm so happy for Lady's owners and pleased to hear that she'll be getting a chip, collar and ID tag as a welcome present.

- I have had a phone call from Lady's owner with the FANTASTIC news that she is HOME after 3 weeks on the run and found over 7 miles from where she went missing !!!!!!! Posters working their magic once again !! After a phone call from someone to say they thought a dog they had found was Lady her owners went over. She managed to give her finders the slip but her owners walked the area and their patience was rewarded when they saw her and she came to them when they called her !! She was exhuasted, much thinner, full of fleas and her owners have removed over 20 ticks from her. Also her paws are extremely worn and the front pads are down to flesh and she will be seeing the vet for a check over. Her owners will be getting her a chip ASAP and she will also have to wear a collar and tag from now on whether or not she likes it ! She will also NOT be going near anymore electric fences ! Lots of fuss for her now and when owners spoke to me Lady was lying on the bed with a hot water bottle. Welcome home Lady get well again soon and stay safe from now on xx Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Tracy as Lady is not chipped if possible could you print a poster off to take in to Cartlon Forest kennels when you go there please ? That way they will have it on the spot for reference. I think the owner has contacted all stray kennels but not sure if she has sent them posters so this would really help x PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Please ring Pam on 01909 731792- she runs Carlton Forest Kennels but is also collects dogs that dog wardens have picked up.. If Lady is picked up it is highley likely she will go to her. Pam will scan for a chip & normally tells me on a weekend. At work on my own at minute so unable to call her- but will at lunchtime if no-one else hasLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- i have spoken with Lady's owner and ther have been some sightings of this lovely girl. Last Monday and Tuesday 1st & 2nd of September she was sighted in Sutton Cum Lound nr the Gate Inn Pub. Then on Saturday 6th she was sighted nr Morrisons in Retford which is about 6 or 7 miles from where she went missing. Hoping we will get some more sightings of Lady and that she will be home very soon x Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Poor little girl. It must have terrified her to get a belt from the fence. She is likely to be holed up fairly close by and to return, so get some pilchards down they love them and the smell travels miles. Good luck with your search and I hope she is home very soon.

- There's a good chance that Lady will return to the area she went missing from, so owner please check back. Perhaps you could leave some item of clothing of yours that she would recognise by the scent, this may encourage her to stay in the area. And poster everywhere, this is her best way home. Good luck with the search, stay safe Lady, lovely girl xx

- So sorry to see that lady is missing. Firstly inform the Dog warden (if this has not already been done), who you will be able to contact at your council offices. Contact rescue kennels and give them a poster of Lady. Posters can be downloaded if you click on POSTER 1 on this page. Posters (In plastic folders) need to be put up in the area where she went missing, or where there have been sightings, if any - on lamp posts, entrances to parks and strategic places in the area where she went missing, like at the start and finish of tracks and paths in parks, dog bins, at vets, pet shops, garages, pubs, carry-out food shops, post offices, local shops who often allow postcards in the window, supermarkets who have notice boards, community centres, youth clubs, schools etc. You can ask the postman, milkman, taxi drivers, street cleaners, bin men (even put poster on bins), to take some flyers and hand them out on their rounds. You can ask school bus drivers and kids on the bus, or if you have kids on the bus, get them to hand out flyers at school. Deliver flyers to houses, businesses & pop through letterboxes. Hand out flyers to people in the street, especially dog walkers. Put posters or flyers in car windows. Rescue centres and kennels, also police offices need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Lady, because your dog or it's breed may not be recognised by other people. Get some media coverage if you can, by asking the local radio station to broadcast Lady as missing and put an ad in the local newspaper with a picture of her. Someone may have taken her in, not realising you are looking for her, so it is important to get posters out there and seen by as many people as possible. Good luck. Hope she is home very soon.
