- Owner, might be worth getting in touch with your local Chasse ( not sure of term in Italy, but it's Chasse in France) as hunting season has now started and they'll be plenty of people out and about with their dogs. Get them to put out the word amongst their members and if possible neighbouring commune Chasse groups to look out for your dog and to let you know of any sightings. Try your local mayor too, ask if he/she can share an alert with nearby communes.

- More deatils from owner.
She walked out of our garden on Contrada San Rafaelle in San Vito dei Normanni ( but closer to San Michele Salentino )
She has been here many summers and knows the area quite well. That day I was coming back to Italy and our daughter, having put some bags in the car, went to the airport to meet me. We think that Barking thought that she was left behind , and followed the car. The fact that there was a storm half an hour later didn’t help. She is scared of thunders.
That evening she was seen, stroked and fed by a couple some 4 or 5 km away. That was the last confirmed sighting.
She is 13 years old but in good shape, and as energetic as ever. She can walk long distances. She is very food focused.
I’ve just been to an immigrants housing centre near Carovigno, because someone phoned to say that a dog similar to her description was seen there. I was sure that I would find her there, because it was full of teenagers ( my other two daughters are teenagers and Barking spends a lot of time with them and their friends), has a restaurant on site and lots of other dogs and cats! But she wasn’t there.
I will stay here until early October, looking for her. - 2019-09-22 15:50
