Received a message yesterday, 25.03.2020, from a lady in Denny ... a very thin and hungry female Black Lab appeared in her garden. Reported to be very friendly & ate voraciously. Unfortunately it disappeared at about lunch time. Food is being put out in the hope that the dog will come back for more. Information was posted to Face Book. I have spoken to the person who found her: in many ways the dog sounds like Pippin. Also 4 of us have compared the photo sent with other photos of Pippin & all agree that they seem identical. Further coincidence in that previous supposed sighting had been in Milton of Campsie. We go on hoping.

Facebook posting saying black lab, NO collar, seen 8.30 pm 21/10on edge of woods in Milton of Campsie (G66 8AH /Lat.95 Long -4.1696 / OS Eastings264652 Northings 676119). Spoke to the person who had seen dog .. physical and behavioural description fitted Pippin perfectly. P had played with the spaniel, but dashed off back into the wood as soon as lead appeared. The lady followed the two dogs but too dark to catch & spaniel returned. We went this morning & were shown the exact spot .. walked in both directions with other dog -offlead but w tracker. Gilly showed interest in various places tho' that could have been deer. Open woodland with large open spaces around. Same? dog had been seen a couple of streets way, 1 or 2 days before. Pattern seems to be that she has found source of food but escaping back to the wood.
