From Gizmo’s owner.....
Gizmo has been missing 12 weeks now from Garrick Green, Old Catton. neutured. microchipped. 4 years old. Trails have gone cold basically. The nights have gotten so cold, I just hope someone has either taken him in or he has found shelter and warmth. There is still a £100 reward for his safe return.
Unknown
Sorry that Gizmo is still missing for nine weeks. As Joan says he may have climbed into a vehicle, which up to 80% of cats do this. But it depends on the cat. It maybe that he is still in the area. Just because you don`t see a cat doesn`t mean they aren`t around. One cat i know of who was posted as LOST for THREE MONTHS was found only ten minutes for his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day. Another cat posted as missing for SIX MONTHS was found not too far from his home. He had decided to move in with an elderly lady, but when the lady passed away, he was reunited with his owner via his microchip. There is a retired police detective called Colin Butcher who now works as a pet detective in Surrey and owns a black Cocker Spaniel called Molly who is believed to be the only dog in the UK trained to sniff out cats. So far she has found 99 cats. The "Agency" has also found missing dogs. (Molly also inadvertently sniffed out some missing jewellery) As a professional pet detective agency probably expensive but he said he is willing to give advice over the phone. He does travel all over the UK looking for pets, Here are his details if you are interested in giving him a call for advice etc. e.mail is info@thepetdetectives.com. Phone no.is 01403 753 463. Paws xd.

From Gizmo's owner.....
Today is 9 weeks since Gizmo went missing. With the fireworks happening and the days and nights getting colder, it's important we get him home. There is a £100 reward for anyone who captures him/hands him back. I'm missing him like crazy all the time
Saskia
Thank you Joan. I will certainly do that. I handed some flyers through the doors of the area and surrounding roads but will put some up in the shops if they allow and retry door to door x
Joan
Saskia, cats have certainly done this in the past....workmen often leave the backs of their vans open and cats are so inquisitive aren't they. Was one fairly recently that had hitched an accidental ride to a neighbouring village. Definitely worth exploring. I'd be inclined to knock on people's doors and ask them personally. Also, any vacant properties locally, allotments, workshops, Cub Scout brownie and guide groups, the more people keeping an eye out the better. Elderly people often aren't following social media, but they do visit their local post office, doctors surgery, hairdresser etc. Get the oldies on board too! Joan - hadn't thought about that. I will have an ask around and see if I can get any information. I've also shared in facebook pages that cover lost pets not just in the area he went missing, but across Norfolk, Suffolk and the rest of the UK x
Joan
Saskia, it's possible that Gizmo has hitched a ride in a vehicle accidentally. See if you can find out if any if your neighbour's had a delivery ( Tesco, Asda, Amazon etc) on the day he disappeared. It's possible that while the back of the van was open, he's hopped inside and then got out or was encouraged out at their next delivery stop. Worth asking around and if you can find a possible lead, the company may be able to give you some idea of where the vehicle went next. Fingers crossed he's home safe and sound soon. Xx

From Gizmo’s owner....
Gizmo has been missing 7 weeks (Sunday 12th October). I find it very hard to believe at this point that he is merely wondering the streets. I am devastated that he is still gone. £100 reward is still offered for his safe return.

Paws, and fingers for you. He is such a beautiful cat.

Thank you very much. That's why I've now offered the reward. Hoping someone will decide that £100 is more to them than stealing someone cat :( will now take a look at Bobbies profile. Thank you again

Please follow ALL the advice on Bobbie`s post. His page no., is 149137. You will find it by googling. Plus sometime a person will take a fancy to someone`s cat.and try to hide it in their house. I have known this happen until they saw the male owner male owner. Leave no stone unturned. Paws xd.Last edited: 2019-10-04 19:39:45
