There is a black Patterdale bitch found in Oxfordshire today, ID 24534 but she is quite rough coated and looks younger

There is a black patterdale smooth coated bitch with white tips on back feet, half tail and white down front at Four Paws Animal Rescue in South Wales. She is from the local pound there and apparently very friendly. May be worth a look.

Many thanks Jan for uploading the new photo of Nell sent in by her owner. Badger thanks for thinking of Nell  but as Glynafon has already said unfortunately the found dog is not her. Nells owner has checked  the found dog and she has a coarser coat whereas Nell has a much smoother and shiny coat. We have three Patterdale/patterdale crosses (2 bitches and a male)who have all gone missing in the last few months in the Wakefield / Barnsley and Huddersfield areas all with owners desperate to find them.So please do keep a look out for them and alert us. Many thanks Pam xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Took posters to show & handed out flyers. Couple of people offered to put them up at Longfields if not already done. Was hoping to see some news on this one by now. Fingers crossed she's home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We are at Locke Park in Barnsley tomorrow- there will be other 'dog' people there. It's a RSPCA event so we will be able to get posters out to a wide variety of people. Hopefully this little one will be home soon.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also to add Nell is a VERY friendly little dog and if she has not gone down a hole she could easily have been picked up and taken home by anyone finding her. PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to Nell's owners this morning who have been searching tirelessly to find their beloved pet. She just slipped her collar and ran off and so far there have been no sightings of her except reports of a terrier barking around an hour after she disappeared around the area of a railway embankment. There are lots of holes she could have gone done in this area !. The owner has been back to this area and called and searched for her many many times. Dog warden and local pounds informed.Hoping for some news of this girl very soon x PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
