So sorry Gus is still missing.  Someone somewhere probably has him with them and we hope he is getting his proper medical treatment.  He needs to be home with his family.  Stay safe and well Gus. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had further call today from Bath Cats & Dogs Home confirming this little old boy is definitely not Gus.  They had looked at his page and I sent posters to be sure.  They have been so helpful - thank you very much, wish all Rehoming Centres were like them!  They are really looking after their little boy and he may even have a new home with one of the volunteers!  Please show yourself for us now Gus. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is very tenous, but would rather mention just in case.. But last week we had an elderly terrier found straying in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. I cant remember if he has the brown dots on his fur, but he has brown ears, and was aged around 13yrs which fits a bit of a description.  He also has a small brown leather collar on. He is a lovely little fellow, and I think he has stiff rear legs as tends to walk on his tiptoes a little. He has really soft fur, especially around his ears.. hope its this little chap, even if there is no explaination as to why he was in Wiltshire x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No news of Gus at all.  Very strange, I believe the owners think he has been taken and sadly they do not think they will see him again.  This is a very sad story esp considering his poor health.  Owners say everyone in their area is aware. We hope you are being looked after Gus wherever you are. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owners and no news of Gus.  They have postered all around area but I asked them to send posters to all the suffolk vets (I had sent a list).  Might be an idea to do Norfolk ones as well, I don't have list, they could click on Find Any Vet on this page. Also asked if owners' daughter could leave messages on here so we know what's happening and they can pick up suggestions and support.  His posters should also be in pubs in case he's been 'dropped off' somewhere but not sure if anyone can do this?  This is what happened to little Shadey the daxie and no doubt others.  Posters got him back home - do hope Gus will be home soon too.  Stay safe and well little Gus till we find you. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I assume that posters have gone out from family to all the vets on our  Suffolk list ? Sick dog ? This should definitely have been done. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner who is devastated especially now Gus may be suffering due to his lack of medical treatment/diet.  Have made lots of enquiries and sent owner flyers & posters.  We need to get these everywhere we can.  We are determined to step up the search for Gus. Stay safe wherever you are, Gus. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm sending poster by mail of Gus to Meadow Green Rescue, Loddon.  They need poster to refer to because they won't contact owners unless dog has microchip.  This applies to all rehoming kennels who will all rehome after 7 days.  xx for Gus.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The two Jack Russells on the Council website appear to have escaped again!  It doesn't seem likely that either could be Gus, so hope these little monkeys have now found their owner. We need to find you Gus. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gus went outside on Thursday eve, 5th and did not return.  Owner thinks he may have been taken. Gus has a medical condition which will worsen after about a week without his medication/special diet - it is important that he is found quickly.  He is a long-legged Jack Russell with distinctive markings, and he does not normally go into the undergrowth or down holes, etc.  I have sent lists of vets etc. for owners to contact & send posters to.  All local vets, rescues, Councils, police etc. have been informed and Radio Suffolk have put out an appeal.  Explained to owners that they need to keep ringing Rescues to check and go and look if poss.  Take care little Gus until we find you. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Gus has gone missing.  West End Kennels Buxhall 01449 737641, Pampered Pets Hacheston 01728 747760 and Meadow Green Kennels, Loddon 01508 548216 are the Kennels where Dog Wardens would take found dogs.  Also try Jerry Green Sanctuary for Dogs, Halesworth 01986 785282. Dog Warden is 01449 727153 Mid Suffolk and 01394 444000 Suffolk Coastal.  Waveney  is 07770 220902..  Keep trying all these. Do hope Gus will be found very soon. Stay safe Gus. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Gus has gone missing but good that you got a picture on site so quickly. You need to print off lots of posters and get them put up all around the area he went missing from. Send posters to all  vets in your area and make sure you inform the dog warden. Go and visit rescue centres as often as possible as they are often too busy to check all lost dogs. Try to get postmen, taxi drivers and milkmen to keep a lookout for him and if you can ask school chidren too as they don't miss a thing. Good luck with the search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
