- Christian Fields is Norbury/Streatham.
Croydon is quite far away although it borders the borough of Croydon which is huge. Just to help pin down the area a bit. - 2019-11-10 17:36 reggiemollieros

- Thanks for post. Actually though they say 3" wide for a cat to get through, we used to have a cat that could squeeze into a much smaller gap. And she wasn`t a small cat. Suppose the 3" is just the average. Someone may have tken him in thinking he is a stray. People don`t always think to take them to a vet for scanning even though it`s usually free. Paws xs.

- Hi it's my cat, he was transported from Manchester to me in Christian Fields Norbury, he was left in a small bedroom with a tiny window 2 inches max, lots of fireworks that night when I checked in on him he had gone. I have a semi detached house and velux windows I think he jumped onto the sloping room and at some point jumped up into the bathroom velux window, my other cat Peter was sniffing suspiciously in the bathroom. I've checked under the bath panel etc. I have a trap out in the back garden. I've posted everywhere asked neighbours, his bedding is in a back open shed and cat litter. I have mobility issues so this makes it difficult to walk around at night

- As Tiger is the "New kid on the block" it maybe that he has been chased out of his new territory by a local cat and he is hiding. or he may have become lost, and disorientated, which is why it`s good idea to take good long walks around the area. Cats especially like sheds as they love the smell of certain woods. Perhaps Tiger is tying to ind his way back to his previous home,. Ask your "Old neighbours to post there too. Ask family, fiends, and neighbours to share as well as DL., Twitter too.

- Presume you were keeping Tiger indoors for a short while re: new area. Will give you some advice for Indoor cats.
A door Tiger has access too open wide, and stand aside. Do`t block his entrance or he may see it as a "Threat", and run off. Put some turn or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave it about 2/3 metres from the open door. When you see him approaching the door, don`t try to grab him or he may shoot off again. Just act nonchalant, as though him going awol hasn`t been a problem. If all also fails, I would borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection say and place inside an object with his scent on. (They will show you how to set it) I wouldn`t put any food in at this stage because of other cats etc. Paws xd. - 2019-10-28 20:39 Unknown
- reggiemollieros. A cat (Neutered) and posted on here was found six streets away. But usually do stay "Homebound" if neutered.

- Check ALL outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars THOROUGHLY as some cats will hide in or behind an object within, especially if timid. Check trees any decking too. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as his scent will be there. Litter tray contents too. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dremies, Could someone be feeding him? (Common problem) When it`s nightfall, and you are searching, use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant where animals are concerned, Post in shops; post offices too. Hand out as many posters as you can; where and when you can. Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines so they can get through very spaces (About 3" wide (7/8 cm), So has he managed to get into a a partially opened window, and is now trapped?
When searching use the same deodorant you use on a day to basis, as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts. Paws xd. - 2019-10-28 19:13 reggiemollieros
