- Seems a bit daft when there are so many other ways to prove they’re the owner, I would suggest a picture of a found dog is essential to find the owner rather than be avoided.

- This is probably a red herring, but I lived in Bounds Green New Southgate N11 until 2005 and there was a Leonberger living there. I saw him or her being walked by the railway lines by his/her owner.
