- Have uploaded a similar GSD photo, if not suitable can be changed when one is found at least posters can be printed and start getting displayed if the found dog is not him. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Owners son was unable to make it today to RSPCA but is going to go there tomorrow, have advised he calls first to make sure what docs etc they will need in case it is Saba and also what the costs will be. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I posted on local forum and someone said they saw a GSD running loose today at 1.15, possibly wearing a green collar, don't know if this is the same dog that was picked up and taken to Halewood. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have spoken to OllieP and passed information on about found GSD, given directions to RSPCA hopefully someone will be able to go and see if it is Saba. Unfortunately I am unable to go myself due to being in work, but would have gone and taken a photo to send to owner etc. Good luck and fingers crossed. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- No answer on the landline or mobile number we have. Left a message on the mobile number on the poster, to contact RSPCA asap, will also send a text with the details and reference number of the dog. Good luck. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- It was too late last night to ring owners. I've just checked with Halewood, one has been handed in by Sefton DW (which would be the right DW). They have not had time to check him over properly. Will contact owners and pass details on with the Ref No. Fingers crossed it is Saba. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- The owner's son rang me last night to say Saba had gone, so good he's registered. He doesn't think his owner has a photo so maybe a photo of a similar dog? He is a tall slender dog, long body and an arched back, he walks quite stiffly on his back legs, classic GSD markings with black saddle. I have spoken to the owner in the past and said it's not safe to leave dogs outside shops and only saw Saba on Saturday in the same place. OllieP I have a list of places to contact & poster which needs to be done asap. If picked up by wardens he will be taken to Halewood RSPCA 0151 486 1706. Need to poster town centre, Pier, dogwalking areas: opposite the roundhouse at Birkdale, Benthams Way, Portland fields, beach at Weld Road, Ainsdalew, Formby, inform the beach rangers and park rangers. Poster local shops & pubs asap as dogs have been sold on via these.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I have spoken to owners son and suggested they find out if there were any cctv cameras outside Morrisons and also to get a crime number from the police as Saba was stolen !! It is vital that as many posters as possible are placed in the area around Morrisons but also further afield. No photos of Saba are available and we may need a 'similar photo' The owner is elderly and would be very grateful for help finding Saba. x Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hopefully Saba will be found soon if you poster everywhere and get his profile out into the public. Inform the Dog warden ASAP. Try to get some coverage from local radio by asking them to broadcast him as missing. Lots of radio stations have lost and found spot for pets. It is just not safe to tie your pet outside shops nowadays as there is always some undesireable person waiting to steal them. Things have changed so much as far as this is concerned in the last few years. Hoping and praying he is back with you soon. Best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Sorry to see Saba is missing, thanks for putting his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search for him We need a photo or similar a.s.a.p. can you email one or two to admin@doglost.co.uk or send by mobile phone (please include postcode and his name). You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible and make him too hot to handle. Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in). Do update us on who has been contacted ie DW’s etc. You can leave a comment by selecting Add a comment just above other comments. Ensure you get a CRIME number from the police and see if there is any CTTV in the area. Good luck and hope he is found soon. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
