- I am sad to report that the body of Mudd has been recovered from a small pond some 50yds from where he was last seen. The pond is full of dense weed which, we think, prevented him swimming. He subsequently drowned.

- We saw a dog that bears a real resemblance to your dog last weekend in Chipping. I dont know the area well but looking at a map- I think it was Green Lane. He was alone running up the road, back towards Chipping. I really hope you find Mudd soon.

- I'm fairly sure it was. At first I thought it might be a cockerpoo but then realised it was probably a spaniel

- Thanks Graham, I have only just seen this, but I will certainly have a look tomorrow. Could you possibly say if it was a Cocker Spaniel

- Really hope you soon find Mudd.
It's a bit of a long shot but I was out walking today at Longridge fell and a dog similar to this trotted past me on a path leading up to the summit at the edge of a wood. I only twigged after it had gone quite a few meters ahead of me that nobody else was about and it was perhaps a lost dog. Unfortunately I didn't catch up with the dog again to check it's collar as it quickly went ahead and didnt come when I whistled. The Google coordinates are 53.8613843, -2.5305697 but I can't be totally sure this was Mudd. - 2019-11-15 22:36 JEAN
