- Hello Everyone. I camped on Dartmoor on the weekend and found nothing. I don't think he is in that area anymore, that just leaves the rest of Dartmoor! Hopefully he has been picked up and not handed in yet. Thank you for all the help. I have not been able to track the people who sighted him. I am begining to think the sighting might not have been him. Any news I will post. Lena Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- "He was spotted on Bench Tor opposite the reservoir. It is about 1 mile from Holne village on the road to hexworthy. To get to Holne take the exit off the A38 marked asburton and head towards Holne."Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Email from Lena: "I went up to Dartmoor yesterday (Wed). The weather was awful. I walked for 5 hours but found nothing. I will go up again on Saturday. I Know now exactly where he was spotted which is not far from where I lost him. Lots of people are on the look out up there. I have had such a fantastic response. I never thought complete strangers would care so much!" So please guys keep up the good work and if your at a loose end on Saturday perhaps give Lena a hand. Thanks x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Email from Lena: He was seen on the walk around Venford Reservoir. I don't exactly know which side. There is work being done on the dam so maybe he might venture over to where the works team is. I will take Wednesday off and try and get there for day break. Thank you so much for the support. LenaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have spoken to owner unfortunatly she does not live in Devon she comes from Cornwall they were visiting friends in the area ,Rupert and her other JR ran off but Rupert did not return he is a typical Jack Russell so could be down a hole or now lost as Dartmoor is a huge national park. Owner has spoken to local farmers who have been very nice and some local people will look out for Rupert have suggested scenting the area he ran off from in case he back tracks and get a local to keep check. Please help if anyone in the area as owner obviously can not be there all the time. THANKSxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- If the woods are where Rupert went missing, there is no doubt he will be hunting rabbits. You must scour the area over and over.Around dawn and dusk are the best times to find him and let him hear you, as tha is when it is quiet and he is likely to be around. If you go there around those times to call him and listen down all the rabbit holes in case he is stuck somewhwere, leave some of your clothing dotted around where he went missing along with his blanket or bed and some fishy strong smelling food, he may appear back to that spot. I really hope he is found soon. Download and print off his poster, by clicking on Poster1 above and stick them up everywhere you can, in plastic folders, at the start and finish of tracks, gates in the woods etc. Hand flyers out to all dogwalkers in the area too. If you think he may be stuck down a hole, call head office for Fell and Terrier club number who will give you help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
