- Regil, Chew Valley, North Somerset: It’s with a heavy heart that I report that still we have no trace of Ralph, who went missing at 8 am on Tuesday 19th November. As we have found no trace of him, or heard no sound from him in our location there is a slim possibility that he ventured further afield and someone picked him up and he is waiting patiently to be reunited with us. It is more than likely he ventured into an animal hole, which are plentiful, on our land. We have obtained permission and a licence from natural England to search these animal holes with a specialist camera. Sadly we found no trace, and realise that it is an impossible to task to fully search this amazingly enormous labyrinth. Outbuildings, hedgerows, streams and slurry pits have been thoroughly searched. Again we acknowledge the sheer amount of space out there! If he was stuck somewhere, or injured we would have expected to have heard some sound from him even though it is a dog’s instinct to keep quiet when threatened or stuck. (He was once stuck in hedge roots: we heard him baying from a distance, but when we were close he was silent). I’ve read many stories of dogs being given up for lost only to appear after a week or two, so we live in hope. So please spread the word and keep your eyes peeled. Many many thanks.

- Make sure to walk the area of lost and the areas he frequently visits.....he will be out of sorts if he’s had medical intervention ....sit in the areas he was last seen / likely to go and talk low tone ....have some dry clothing out with your scent on .....please let me know if a thermal scope will help x
