- I assume Ocean is neutered? Check ALL outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars THOROUGHLY as some cats will hide in, or behind an object within, especially if timid. Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines, so they can squeeze into very small spaces (About 3' wide 7cm) So has she managed to get into a partially opened window, and is now trapped? They cant always exit as it depends on the drop. Cats can survive without food for weeks; they will lick on relevant items to keep themselves hydrated. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as her scent will be there. Check trees; any decking too. Put some tuna. or chicken in her dish, and call her. (Just because you can`t see a cat it doesn`t mean they aren`t around) Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with our scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fence, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with her scene on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone maybe feeding her. (Common problem). Two different cat posted as missing for months were found not far from their own homes; being fed by others. When it`s nightfall, and you are searching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be observant where animals are concerned. Post in shops; post offices too Hand out as you can; where, an when you can. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case she has climbed into a vehicle. which isn`t that uncommon for cats to do. Another reason why a cat may go awol is iut has been has been chase out if it`s own territory by a more dominant cat. The chased t won`t usually return, until they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. But sometimes they can become lost. and disorientated. Ask family, friends and neighbours to share as well as DL Twitter too. Paws xd.Last edited: 2019-11-24 21:07:33
