I'm so relieved for your owners that you are home with them safe after all this time. Little sweetheart you must be so pleased to see them again. Strange to see you ended up 'wandering in Harlow' - If only you could talk

What wonderful news - thanks for the call earlier wickedweims, once again shows how important it is to have your pets microchipped and to keep contact details updated even if your pet is a long term missing one. Can't wait to see a reunited picture of Pixie and her family

FANATSTIC NEWS! Welcome home Pixie.xxxxx

Yipppeee! Just heard from owner who confirmed PIXIE IS HOME!!! She was found this morning wandering in Harlow, taken to a vets to be scanned and reunited via her chip. Once again another example of the power of the chip. She was absolutely filthy but seems otherwise okay.....she's going for a check up tomorrow. Owners and family are absolutely over the moon and cannot believe it. Pixie is acting as if she's never been away bless her. This has made my day. Big hug to Pixie :)

OMG, thanks for the call Jayne. I hope Pixie is safe, I am over the moon. I remember how desperate her owner was to find her after the burglary. As Jayne said, more details to follow!

Angus is right about sending posters. I put the postcode in search and also found the post office. I am seeing someone on Sunday who lives near that road so will take some posters for her to put up. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Checking this postcode and road out on my Parcelforce account, the houses are numbered 299 - 351 odds plus some a's for flats - The post office is 313 Harlington Road. UB8 3JD. It has to be worth sending a poster and a note to the post office and asking them to put up. I still havn't had a response to my email but it hasn't bounced either so still hoping. Ok brilliant thanks, yeah great idea to poster the road but I can't get there as it's too far away for me, but I could try just sending a copy of the poster to the road and post code given asking someone to put the poster up down their road or somethingLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have sent a copy of the poster to the email address - which has not bounced - but I have not had a response as yet - I have asked the finder to contact Pixies owner or Doglost directly. Fingers Crossed - good idea to poster the road thoughLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

In the advert for the found westie it looks like the finder has put the road they live in, has anyone posted the road? maybe to say, finder contact DL. Be lovely if it were this elderly westie.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have also emailed the website to see if email addy is correct and whether there are any alternative contact details for the finder.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a dear little girl!  I do hope she's home very soon, what a blessing she's microchipped. May also be worth postering round the railway and bus stations. Keeping our fingers and paws crossed for you and Pixie.  xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jan for doing the A4 posters and also the leaflets, I have emailed them over to Sophie. Sophie use the posters to make Pixie the most well known dog around! Poster the surrounding areas, leaflet houses etc. I know it is quite rural where you are but also get posters up at pubs, supermarkets, takeaways, garden centres, play areas etc in neighbouring towns and anywhere else there are lots of people - boot sales, markets and similar are also good places to cover. Also in popular dog walking areas, poster and hand out leaflets. Take some into Writtle College too as I'm sure they'll display as well as being able to pass on to other contacts they have. Give one to your postman, bin men etc. If I remember correctly, there are lots of stable yards around that area so get posters to those as well. Good luck, we're all wanting to see Pixie in the blue reuniteds! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A4 poster and smaller posters now done and emailed to Jotty Area Co-ordinator to send to owner and anyone in the area who can help with the postering.  Hope they help in the search and we see lovely Pixie back home with her family where she belongs and in the BLUE soon.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pixie was stolen in a house break in some time between 8am and 5.30pm on 19th Sept from the Highwood area of Chelmsford. If anyone is local and can help, it would be greatly appreciated, Pixie needs to be at home where she belongs. Spread the word and if you can do any postering that would be fab - even one in your car if you drive through/near Chelmsford would be a help. She was wearing a collar but this was removed and left behind by the thieves. Sophie has emailed local papers, but I have said will have a word with our Keelah (PR) and see if she can work her magic and send a press release off too. Owners will tomorrow be contacting dog wardens, vets, kennels etc and are going to poster poster poster!! We need to make this little girl too hot to handle.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sophie, I’m so sorry to see that your lovely Pixie has been stolen. What a dreadful thing to happen to an elderly lady. Thank you for registering her on Doglost and uploading a photo. Your poster is available, and can be printed from your dogs page by selecting Dog Poster 1 . This will also be used by us and our helpers for cross matching any dogs that are found.  Please notify all dog wardens, police , animal shelters and vets, and leave us a comment with exactly where your dog has gone missing from, and the circumstancesof how she came to be stolen. To leave comments you must be logged in ( left hand side ?log in button)  and then once on your dogs page, click by the blue cross where it says ’add a comment’. We will do all we can to help. You need to obtain a crime number from the police, if you have not already done so, and you need to poster widely immediately. You need to make Pixie to hot to handle. Also try to get articles, and a photo in all your local papers and freebies, plus maybe announcements on the radio. (That is according to the circumstances of course).  Good luck and hope you have good news soon.  Stay safe little Pixie until we find you x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
