Excellent news.....welcome home girl....I wonder what her name is?! This was a real team effort to get this dog back home in these rather unusual circumstances! A special well done to Poochpal who worked so hard to get to the bottom of it all and got a great result. Well done to finder 1, finder 2 (!!) and everyone else. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good to see you on here Rob, I have left messages on numbers given and your father did call me back leaving a message a couple times. I do hope this is his dog and that he gets her back to her pups soon. How old are they? If she has been away from them a while I'm not surprised that she does'nt look as though she had them. Surely a vet would be able to tell. Good luck and remember we are all here to help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do hope to see her reunited soon, I had emailed Bridgewater dog warden about 10 days ago but guess the conection was not made or still not the right area. This has been a difficult one!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am very sure this is my Dads dog. He has a farm next to the M5 and she went missing from here after being scared by a shooting group in a a neighbouring field. He has contacted all local vets, wardens and rescue centres but has had no luck probably due to the fact that she was kindly picked up and taken to safety much further away than we expected. He has had a answer machine message and will return the call this morning. Really hope this is her and would like to thank everyone who has taken care of her and hopefully helped us track her down.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The owners DID register here when Belle went missing but all details lost when the site was hacked. They had never heard of ALD let alone register her on there. ALD have not got the correct email addtress on the site yet I had no notification of failed delivery so somebody has recieved some strange mail somewhere and not bothered replying to me. That all said and done she has not actualy gone to new home yet, waiting for home check and the lovely dog warden who has been involved took her for x-ray (paid by Belle's owner). There is no pin in her right leg so not Belle. Her owner is going to re-register with us now, this is the second dog they have x-rayed I have left a message with another owner who has put lost GSD on NPR site which went missing 22-09-08 from Avon area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Such a shame, if only the owners had registered here instead ..... we would have had a headstart.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Possible owner has been traced but seems we are too late. She has been rehomed. The posative identification could be proven by a vet as she had surgery with the original owner which would show up on an x-ray or scan.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The friend of the original finder has very kindly called up to provide further details as to where this dog was found. She was found on the M5 between junctions 23 and 24. Not being from that neck of the woods, have looked on a map and that looks to be south of Puriton but north of North Petherton.....and there seems to be a fairly built up area near by - Bridgewater??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have e-mailed / phoned all known DWs in Devon around the M5, as yet none reported missing. I did check St Giles Kennels and the one they re-homed recently was chipped before she left them.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

All dogs rehomed from St Giles are microchipped to the new owners before they leave unless already chipped. Phoned this morning but they were on other phone at the time giving Tipper's owner directions to get there to see  the lurcher who fits her description! Fingers crossed! I will call again for info on th white GSD that they re-homed recently.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
