I am so happy you have her back. Unfortunately there are some evil people around. Good luck, love from Julie and Boxers Lewis and Molly xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So very pleased to see that Roxi is back home again safe and sound.   Great that she is to have a chip - let's hope there's not a "next time" but it would stand her in good stead were there to be.....lol !     I find a whistle and really tasty treats do the trick when recalling my dogs and Roxi would be young enough to pick this up I'm sure.....that is if she's food oriented - I know they're not all!  Welcome home Roxi, gorgeous girl, stay safe now xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Woo Hoo Fran, thanks for letting know.  Great news that you have got her home, pity about money having to be involved.  Well done for getting her CHIPPED, give her a big hug from everyone on DL, over to the blue Roxi where you belong.  Jan x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PS: Yes I have bought her a shiny new collar and ID tag and have booked her in for a microchip which I know I should have done long ago but never got round to doing - thanks againLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How awful for you, and to be told the police were "too busy"..well thats just typical of todays Britain I am afraid. Keep the pressure on them to chase this up for you, good luck in getting your little girl back, she is lovely, sorry I am too far away to help XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fran, so sorry about what has happened to Roxi.   You need to print off the poster from this site - you need to be logged in to do this - click where it says Dog Poster 1 at the top left above dogs details - brilliant that you have got a photo on so quickly - and poster everywhere around, especially near where she went missing.   You need to make her too hot to handle, everyone needs to be aware, it only takes that one person to see her and you will then get that all-important phone call.   You also need to go back to police and get a crime number, they may not be interested but she is stolen property, don't be fobbed off.   She may be dumped, so check with all rescue centres/kennels that take strays and leave posters with them.   They can legally rehome dogs after only 7 days so you need to keep checking, visit personally, don't rely on phone calls, they don't always match descriptions given over the phone with the dogs they have in.   Your local dog warden (unfortunately only contactable during the week but there may be an out-of-hours contact) needs to be informed as soon as you can and will tell you where strays get taken to in your area.   Also contact vets and leave posters with them.   The importance of postering cannot be over-emphasized, poster power works and is the key to getting Roxi back.   Good luck with the search, sorry I am too far away to help more.   And be safe Roxi, lovely girl xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Circumstances as posted in the information by Fran: I couldn't get her to come back to me and when it got dark I couldnt see her.  I was later told that two boys had taken her and were trying to sell her. Has been reported to police and I have given names of whom took her, which it turns out that they are well known to the police, but as it is a friday night, they are too busy to go to these boys houses.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
