- e mail from owners: Hi, just a short note to let you know that we have found Jack. Or rather your helper (Ruth) in Ryeford, Stonehouse found him wandering around a garden Centre on Saturday afternoon. She very kindly took him to the local vets where he stayed until we collected him this morning. As I explained when we collected Jack from Cheltenham Animal Centre his original tag was left in and another inserted with our details. We were told not to worry and that the original tag would be reregistered with our details in about ten days. When Jack escaped from our garden we phoned the vet Ruth had taken him to and were informed that they did not have him. In fact they did, but when they scanned him they found the original tag addressed to his former owner in south Wales! It was only when Ruth noticed Jack on your web site that she called and told us where to find him. The moral of this story is to always ensure that dogs wear collars with a name and contact easily visible. We have now. Thank you all very much for your assistance and thank goodness for people like you and Ruth!! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
