- Indoor cats that "Escape" will usually be feeling very anxious being out of their comfort zone which is in their own homes with people they trust; their owners. They will usuualy hide close by. A door he has access to, open wide, and stand aside, Don`t block his entrance or he may see it as a "Threat" ( Think you may grab him, and run off). Put some tuna/sardines, or warm chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container along with your scsnt too. Leave it about 2 metres from the open door, DO NOT leave the litter tray outside; only the contents, as other cats could use it, and leave their scent there which may confuse the cat, Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Post flyers through doors too. Ask neighbours to check their sheds, garages etc Make sure you are present when they are checking. Paws xd.
