I am writing this with the heaviest heart I've ever had, Lance has been found but unfortunately he's died! I hope all dogs do really go to heaven, because he deserves to be in the best place ever. He truly was the best friend I could've ever had and an absolute pleasure to have in my life. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU AND YOU'LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. SLEEP TIGHT MY EVERYTHING!

Just seen a post on a ridgebacks page on FB that he has been found and has crossed the rainbow bridge.
Thoughts are with the owner

Searched yesterday, owner and other people out too including drone operator. No sign yet he was hit between the Spa shop and first turn for Winton on the A685 above Kirkby Stephen and limped off up the road. Please share far and wide in case he got picked up. Please keep an eye out if local or passsing through.

***Update (5 jan 10.10am): We have been out most of the night and will continue into the day. In shifts. And will do until we find him. There have been so many offers of help and notifications everywhere, we are so appreciative of every one and we are sorry if we havent had time to reply yet - we are keeping our eyes on the roads/hedges/anywhere that we might spot Lance.
There has been a lone dog sighted on the sedbergh road (5.30am on the 4th)- but we are aware of a lost hound in that direction of the same colour so we have checked that area but have come back closer to home.
There has also been a lone dog spotted by a passing vehicle down at the bottom of Ash Fell (11.30pm on the 4th)
So if anybody that happens to be in these areas could keep an eye out that would be so helpful. We have friends coming in, arriving today, to help too.
We've had a lot of offers re drones and ground searchers. This is literally all the information we have of his possible whereabouts - no confirmed sightings of him since he was clipped by a car on friday night.
I'll go out to take a picture of where he was clipped and include a google maps pinpoint soon so that anybody that is free today and can help, you know as much as we do 😔.
