e mail from owner:   thankyou to all for helping get our DJ back home to our family, i will certainly spread the word on this site. saturday had been the worst day of our lives, our 11 year old daughter had had a few friends around for a sleep over, for her birthday and somehow DJ got out. she tried to enjoy the rest of the night as her friends were here and between my husband ad i, we were looking between us for him, all of the children had tears at some point. Georgia herself has been being sick since he went and kept saying if she hadn't had friends round we would still have DJ, therefore it was doubly important to get him back, we were doing as much as we could think possible to get him home, but didn't think this was going to happen. When we received the phone call it was just the best thing in the world, i can't even begin to tell you how you made us feel, thankyou again for giving us the best ever day of our lives, nothing would ever replace such a special member of our family THANKYOU

Please don't take offense at this suggestion, but please very carefully check every room of the house - under the beds, inside any boxes, no matter how inaccessible they may seem.  If he was a bit stressed by the party he may have gone to hide and become stuck.  I think it was on this site a year or so ago that someone moved house, lost their dog and sadly found his body in a box some time later (though it wasn't established if he'd died through other causes).

Tracy, I can see you had trouble registering, and this is your third attempt. But well done for your persistance. I know the forms are confusing. Sorry to see you have lost DJ. Hopefully he wont have gone too far. Please notify all your neighbours and ask them to check their gardens, especially any that have danger zones like swimming pools, or anywhere dogs can get shut in. We need a photograph to make up a poster so please email one to admin@doglost.co.uk, unless you can upload one from your computer to this page. You need to notify dogwardens, animal shelters, police, and vets in your area in case he is picked up and handed in. And you need to get posters up advertising that DJ is lost, with your telephone number. You can make temporary ones until you can get a photo on site for us, but we really do need a photo please. Good Luck, and hope he is found in the morning. Please be aware thet he may find his own way back so please leave the gate open, with some bedding and food by the door. this will hopefully keep him in the area. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
