Thanks Driftdog. That's good to know. I take it you work at the SSPCA. May I ask what area you are in?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great to hear that Charlie's back home, I wouldn't want to leave a dog in Police kennels either but at least they're not at risk of being run over (even if they might stink a bit after being "banged up"!) Re the 03000 SSPCA number, don't worry it's not a premium call number. It costs the same as the 01698 number and does need to be used when reporting an injured or negleted animal as at the Centre we don't have the resources to deal with these calls. The 03000 number staff will take the information and pass it through to the appopriate Inspector or Ambulance Driver.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news. Charlie has been found and is home.Someone picked her up and took her to police station but did not want to leave her there, so took her home. dog was scanned soon after and was re-united. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Driftdog. I always call bothwell Bridge kennels on the number I have given below, as the SSPCA number is a premium rate number, but of course, it  may have been changed and the only number available is the SSPCA number you have given. Those premium rate numbers really annoy me.If you are reporting a lost dog or a dog injured or neglected, why should you have to pay a premium rate to report it?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yeah dogs found in North Lanarkshire will be brought by the dog warden to Lanarkshire ARRC (was Bothwell Bridge) Phone number now is 03000 999 999 or mobile 8.30 am till 4.45pm 07733007258. Phone in the morning and afternoon as dog wardens can bring dogs in at anytime during the day. Contact local police stations as well, double checking that no one has "retained dog by finder" Also contact National Pet Watch 01355 264936 they keep a register of lost and found animals Good Luck Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear Charlie has gone missing. Could you please send a photo to admin@doglost asap. Once photo is on site posters can be printed off by clicking on to Dog Poster 1 at the top of this page, you need to be logged in to do this. Get posters put up all around the area she went missing from and send copies to all vets and rescue centres. Make sure you inform the dog warden. Don't rely on anyone to ring you back you must try to visit rescue centres as often as possible. Good luck with the search. Sorry I am too far away to be of any help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
