In this case a photo will not be available it's not what an owner would ever want to see. We are already sharing across social media to all local community groups and to other lost and found groups outside of our area

Dog warden will be contacted on Monday as they do not have an out of hours in our area, along with local vets, dog was scanned by myself and then the vets afterwards. No chip found but due to decomp the chip may have come out in the river or elsewhere as we do not know whether the dog died there or his body came down the river. We can't even estimate how long he was there as it's a very remote area and decomp was already very much established Last edited: 2020-02-02 10:02:13

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
