I'm so sorry to hear this about your darling boy.  Have you had it confirmed that a fox attacked him though?  It is very unusual for a fox, unless they're extremely hungry, to attack an adult animal any larger than a rabbit.  They know they can't take the risk of being injured.

I'm so deeply sorry to see this news. Who would have thought a dog of Jet's size would have come off worst in a fight with a fox. God bless you Jet, beautiful boy. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

SO sorry to see that Jet is missing. Its is absolutely VITAL that you visit MARINA KENNELS, Peace Pit, Huddersfield, HD2 1JE in person  without delay   to check if Jet is there ! By law they only have to keep stray dogs for 7 days before rehoming or sending them on to a rescue. Also keep checking with the dog warden and poster as much as you can ! Hoping for some news of this boy very soon xx Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner's father and updated the missing details.  A photo will be sent a.s.a.p. either by mobile or email.  Jet is a border collie cross, family not sure what his father is but maybe be a Lab, he is described as all black with a white chest, medium long coated.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't think Jet will be far. It is unlikely he will have caught the fox and will be making his way home soon hopefully.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
