I am so sorry for you and your beautiful dogs.
Inconsiderate, greedy farmers strike again.
God forbid if one of them ever did anything of the sort to my dog.  I would do time.

This has been such a sad week - with so many beautiful dogs going to the bridge. I do hope that the owners eventually find out what happened to these beautiful girls. My heart breaks for you at the moment, you must be absolutely devastated. Please take care of your selves, I do not know what else to say words just seem so inadequate at time like this. So sorry things turned out like this for these two beautiful dogs, my friend saw them both on the side of the road today, i contacted the local dog warden, and grabbed something to go and cover them both up, but within a few minutes they had gone, contacted the council, and they have now been picked up by the Highways Dept.  Run free at the Bridge xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How awful for you, what lovely babies. I live in the countryside, and it is always a worry with farmers who feel they have the right to shoot anything on their land. I assume they were in the right to do this ? without trying to catch the dogs first or contact a dog warden? as obviously family pets. Keep the good memories close of these lovely dogs, our thoughts are with you XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Debbie I am so sorry. When I spoke to you the other day you said you feared they may have been shot, can't understand why the farmer didn't own up straight away. My thoughts are with you and your family. Together in this world and the next. RIPLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is so, so sad, poor Chilli and Lola.   It seems the farmer lied then, why did he do that if he felt justified in his actions.   Rest in peace, lovely Chilli xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see that your dogs have gone missing. Mine went missing for eight months, we eventully located him 300 miles away. Check out of your county as they may have picked up and taken to the nearest police station or dog warden! you never know its worth a try? All the best in your searchLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to Debbie, owner of these two dogs. She is doing a wonderful job. Posters have been put up everywhere in the local area and sent out to all vets and rescue centres in a 30 mile radius. Police, dog warden and RSPCA have been notified. Story going in local paper tommrrow. Have suggested she contacts the highways agency and asks the local radio to run a story. She says they jumped her fence and headed towards a local farm but the farmers say they haven't seen the dogs.Debbie is wondering if they have shot the dogs so I have told her to ask the police as I believe farmers are obliged to report any incidents of  shootings.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
