- Thank you Millys Mum for the info: Pumpkin was so lucky then. I don`t know the area (I live in the central regiion) So Pumpkin was lucky re: the railway tracks. Sorry to hear about the peson who has been hit by a train. All xd for them. A few yars ago, I was talking to someone whose cat like Pumnpkin had "Escaoed" his carrier. He was found VERY close to where it happened too. Thanks again Millys Mum

- janiejewel1649 - I haven't heard from owner (had been in touch via texts) but Pumpkin was obviously found in Links Way which is a road VERY close to where he went missing from. I had been very worried about the railway at Eden Park (and hoped and prayed very hard that he hadn't found his way onto the tracks) and so was so very relieved to read that he had been found. Sadly, I heard last night, that somebody was hit by a train at Eden Park station yesterday and so there was lots of police/paramedic activity but don't know any further details. - When cats "escape" like this, they usually find refuge in someone`s garden, near where they ran away. I would advise the owner to take a good walk around that area holding an object with his scent on, eg jhis UNWASHED Blanket and rattle sone treats. And take some warm chicken with them too. Poster around the area, and post fkyer through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too. Hand out as many posters as you can; where, and when you can, Knock on doors too. Paws xd.

- Thank you Jayne and Sharon! I believe Pumpkin’s family live close to a CR0 postcode but not sure and so hopefully Pumpkin’s family will confirm whether they also want alerts to go to other nearby postal codes.

- I have been ‘speaking’ to Pumpkin’s owner via email and text messages and so am pleased to see that Pumpkin is now registered with DL. I live reasonably close to where Pumpkin went missing from (and we also drive through the area on a daily basis). I have alerted the family to a report of a possible ‘stray’ black cat in nearby Upper Elmers End Road, which Pumpkin’s family were already aware of and who will be checking it out. I will be keeping my eyes peeled and spreading the word. My very good friend (Baggy Dog on DL) made a comment some while ago when helping to look for my friend’s missing cat and that was that, if we were to spot a dog running along the road, in your front garden, etc you would realise it was missing its owner BUT if a cat passes through a garden or arrives locally, its likely that most people wouldn’t give it a second thought, unless the cat kept returning and showing signs of friendliness and/or hunger. I do hope that this handsome boy is back home with his family very soon.
