I'm so sorry, this is heartbreaking enough but for such a special little boy to lose his best friend in this way is really tragic.  We all send our love to you and know that Dolly will be happy playing with all the others at Rainbow Bridge now. xxx

I am so sorry to have to tell you that poor Dolly has been found dead. She was run over yesterday afternoon not very far from home. My heart goes out to Hu and his family. Life is so unfair. Bless you all, and run free and be safe at Rainbow Bridge dear Dolly x

madmutz - sorry - thank you so much for your offer of help. Yes please do help in any way you can. That would be soooo lovely if you could lend a hand to look or poster. This poor family are at their wits end at the moment and poor Hu who owns her is not sleeping. Posters in back side windows of cars in the meantime would also help. If you would like poster and flyers emailed to you for printing please say,and I will send them to you.

I dealt with a similar case to this last year when a dog belonging to an autistic child went missing and Look North were kind enough to run a story for them. Telephone number is 0113 2441188.

update: microchip company has been informed. posters are out vets have been informed. and we have crossed posted into norfolk and lincs the mother to the boy who owns this dog has given consent for the following information. dolly belongs to a disabled boy who has downs syndrome and is autistic he has had a very bad night and is missing his little dog, so please keep an eye out for this little dog thankyou everyone judi

Still no sign of Dolly since she went missing early this morning. Police, dog wardens, pounds and vets, are all well aware. Dolly has been well publicised around the village. She is a shyish dog, and may well tag along with other dogs or someone walking  with dogs. I will do normal posters and email them over later this evening. Stay safe Dolly, until we find you.
