First of all is there a dog in the family who is okay with the cat, and could help sniff him out in or near the country park? Check ALL outbuildings including empty houses THOROUGHLY as sone cats will hide in or behind an object within, especially if timid, Berar in mimd too that cats have very flexible spines so they can squeeze into very small spaces using their shoulders. *About 2"/3" 7/7.5 cm wide) (My cat can and she in her 18th year) So has he managed to climb into a partially opened window . And is now traqpped? Exit can be difficult; depends on the drop. Check trees; any deckings too. Put some tuna/sardines, or warm chicken in his dish, and call he; night/early morning is best. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden, as nis scent will be there; litter contents too, PLEASE DON`T leave the litter tray/box outside as other cats could us it, and it could upset, and confuse the cat. Just because you can`t see a cat, it does`t mean they aren`t around. Cats can be very elusive. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors to;; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may ttract his attention. Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone maybe feeding him (Common problem). When it`s nightfall, and you are searching use a stong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, epsecially those with children as they can be very observant where animals are concerned. Post in shops; post offices if you can. Pist a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper too in case he has climbed into a vehicle, which isn`t that uncommon for cats to do.
Ask family friends and neigbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Also is thre a domiant cat in he area? As sometimes they will chase a less confident cat out of it`s own territory, The chased cat wil not return until they think it`s
"Safe" enough for them to do so. Paws xd.Last edited: 2020-03-29 14:11:21
