Hope to have a reunited piccy on later. Cain is a very lucky boy to be home. He was found at Hellesdon High School by seven men who were trying to catch him. The Dog warden was called, and took him to kennels where he had been for a week, until owner received a call from someone who saw a poster and knew where Cain had been taken. Owner picked him up the next day, which was his very last day (seventh day) before he was due to be re-homed. Thank goodness for the phone call, as owner had notified dog warden and called the kennels earlier in the week, and nobody called her back to say a Shar Pei had been picked up ! This is why we keep on, that you really must visit the pounds yourself as you cannot rely on anyone phoning you back. Owners are so very pleased he is home, and settling in well with the little boy. The garden has now been made secure and Cain is getting microchipped and a new tag tomorrow. Well done for postering and getting your boy home. Have a happy new life Cain, and please stay safe now sweetheart x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Either owner, or relative, -- if you are reading this, please give us an update on what has been done, and any news. Very distinctive dog. I would think someone knows something. Poster all the pubs and pub car parks over a wide area. This is where dogs get sold on, and this one is memorable. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have emailed both the original owner and new owner a contact list of Norfolk dog wardens, rescues and pounds, and a full list of Norfolk vets. The numbers need working through as quickly as possible now. If Cain is in a rescue and not claimed within seven days he will be re-homed. Have also sent scenting information, as Cain's new home is only about 20 mins away from old one and could be trying to find his way home. Any helpers in the area who could help please?  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good response. Thanks to original owners, mobile phone photo now received and uploaded to site. What a gorgeous dog. Posters are now available for printing. When logged in and the page is showing white, click above the dogs details, on Dog Poster 1 to open up the poster. Please place posters absolutely everywhere that people go, as quickly as possible now, and hand them to dog walkers. Plenty of events, such as markets and boot sales, sports meetings, ets over weekend. Please get loads of posters up. Will send all rescue numbers via email to new owners. If original owners would like to help, please text me your email addie, and I will send to you also. Good Luck.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners had unfortunately had Cain less than a day. He was let into the garden and has scaled the fence. So far no sign of him and he has been missing six days which is worrying. Dog warden, and RSPCA have been notified, but vets, pounds and all rescues need to be contacted as soon as possible now.   Have advised new owner to request photo from original owner asap, and that now, should hopefully be sent to me tonight. Unfortunately owner does not have a PC at home but will be receiving our information via a family members.  Have advised owner to ring all vets in Norwich area tonight and to ring the council to enquire if any dogs have been knocked down, and also to inform railways.   Poor Cain has no collar or tag on him, and new owner is enquiring if microchipped, but probably not. So no ID.  Hundreds of posters need to go up as soon as we can sort the photo. Stay safe Cain xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
