Millie's Mum
Joe256, has Cotton appeared in the Bristol Evening Post, or Western Daily Press, if not try to get on to them, and ask them to run a story for you. Try also Radio Bristol, ask them if they would put out an appeal for you. Don't forget to visit The Bristol Dogs home, also email them, and Bath Dogs home, a poster of Cotton. Good luck in your search, I am still looking for him in Somerset. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just a quick note, the police are issueing a media statement in to cottons being stolen which means being in the local paper with a picture, which now means cotton will be the hottest dog in bristol so we should have him home soon :)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nicola well done on all the brilliant advice, great when it comes from someone who has been through the experience and now has their dog in the blue. Have updated the posters and added the new photo so both photos are on, emailed to Co-ordinator Reynard to pass onto owners.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I cannot stress enough !!!! Keep the pressure on !!!Do not rely on the wardens or police they are simply a back up .Count on yourself!!! POSTER POSTER POSTER!!! These are low lifes so get to them.Put a reward up and poster the homeless places they hear a lot we never do.Keep repeat postering it seems fruitless after doing the same place 3/4 times but it was the last round of endless postering that got Prince back.He was gone a month and had been sold to a pub landlady.Poster all the pubs in surrounding areas.Poster the traveller sites and give a poster to your  local traveller advocate.Poster all the benefit offices. This is a distinctive dog so he will stand out and be remembered.Your posters will be taken down by all sorts and the weather will hinder.I lamenated all posters that went outside.Put them in every shop you can persuade ,bus shelters, train stations.I know it is tedious and tiring but believe me it is the ONLY WAY you will get him back.DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! whoever has him will be counting on you doing so let them know you wont!!! Im so sorry your baby is missing I know what you are going through but cant stress enough the importance of keeping the pressure on.Put posters in the local police station best place to get the attention of the criminal class. Please Please dont give up you will get him back if you keep the pressure on.Someone will see the posters and call you but you have to keep them in veiw.Good luck friend I pray you manage,if you would like to chat about how i got prince back and what i had to do feel free to call me Hazel of this site has my details.I wish I was nearer so I could do more xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What evil Ba****ds, to steal this dog. Will probably be sold on in a pub for drug money. You must notify the dog wardens, and police, and be sure to get a crime number. Check daily with Bristol and Bath Dogs Home, Hollyhedge sanctuary and any other rescue centres that you can think of.  Posters are most important, flood the area with them, and make Cotton "too hot" to handle, also go further afield into the Knowle, Withywood and Totterdown areas. Be aware, that if found, Cotton could be rehomed after 7 days. Good luck in your search, I will be looking for him in Somerset.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
