Glad your little monkey is home safe now Heather. Hopefully Loki might have learned a lesson although I doubt it xx
Maria

Thanks Heather, I just wondered. I used to have a cat with semi long hair., I had to brush her fairly regularly as she got older or it would tangle. She died three years ago aged 19. My other cat in her 18th year is short haired, so needs no grooming at the moment . Loki is very handsome:-) x
Heather
Janiejewel - no, he's never been professional groomed. He's a bit scruffy and dirty at the moment, I think he's been hiding out in some undergrowth beside the flat I live in, but on the whole he's very low maintenance and takes very good care of himself. I really have never needed to help him out that much, beyond the occasional going over, particularly in spring when he blows his winter coat.

Wonderful news. So pleased Loki is home. He may have been trapped in a shed because as welll as being very inquisitive cats love the smell of wood. And as well as having rotating spines their collar bones aren`t as rigid as ours so they use
their shoulders to help them get through small spaces. I learnt this when I had my first cat Stay close now handsome Loki Thanks for letting DL know how Loki as found. Does Loki have to be professionally grooend sometimes?
Heather
Thanks, Marbie! No, I didn't, but the flat is not big and he very much is, and I know all his spots - there was literally nowhere he could've been. And for him to skip meals would've been unprecedented ;-) And he was definitely outside as he just made his way home and was trying to get back in the window he'd jumped out of - he's a mess but he's fine :) Super grateful for all the support, everyone!
Marbie
Not being funny Heather but did you actually see Loki climb out of the window? Cats can climb into all sorts of places as I know from personal experience. You'd think they would cry out but if he has cardiac issues maybe not. I hope Loki is well and home soon xx
Heather
Thanks so much for the suggestions, all - I've already done most of these! He definitely isn't the Nottingham cat - and to confirm, I read the thread which said that that cat has been around for over a year. Loki only went missing Saturday night and for the last 8 years has been safely tucked up indoors.

He is chipped and neutered, the microchip company has been made aware he's missing. His vet has notified their whole network within about 15 miles, I've contacted every rescue I can think of, he's all over Facebook and Nextdoor and Twitter, I've paper-bombed the area, and I keep going for walks at all hours with Dreamies - I'm not good at waiting around! Thanks so much for sharing - I'm offering a reward of £100 for information leading to his return.

Pleasse follow ALL the advice/tips on Molly`s post. Her page no.is 156503, of which there are many. About windows cats can squeeze into very small spaces about 2"3" as they have very flexible spines which rotates, which I have posted on Molly`s post re: the advice/tips Paws xd.
