So a BIG thankyou to Yasa for all the help and info she emailed to him to him xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Oh Wow !! So pleased to read this. Yes, the chip is the best thing we can all do for our dogs without a doubt. It is our duty to see they are done. Well done Gary for that, and welcome home James. You stay safe now x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- FANTASTIC NEWS !!!! James is home !! He was found on a building site 15 miles from home and the dog warden was called and they scanned James ! As he was found so far from home if he had not been microchipped James would most probably not have made it home. The owners have asked me to tell everyone to make sure they get their dog MICROCHIPPED !! James was no longer wearing the red collar he had on when he went missing. Welcome home James and stay safe from now on xxx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Gary - thanks for your update. This may not be easy at all, so be prepared to get hundreds of posters out there as quickly as possible. The more posters the more sightings. You need to plot the sightings onto a map. When you have 3, you have a triangle, and that is normally the formation a dog moves in trying to pick up a scent. -- So if you have had two sightings, plus you have the point that James ran off from , then you have your triangle. I am going to email you some scenting and map plotting notes. Please read them a couple of times and adapt them to your situation. This is very promising. You now need to make a safe area to keep him there, or scent a trail to take him home. It depends how far away from home he was when he ran off, and if he will know his way back or not. I will email you the notes. Good luck. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- So sorry James has gone missing, but thank you for registering on Doglost. Please upload a photo a.s.a.p for the poster. If you cannot do that, please email one straight away to admin@doglost.co.uk with dogs name and postcode. If all else fails a mobile phone photo can be received by contacting head office. As soon as a photo is on site, your poster will be ready for you to print. Please notify all dog wardens, police , animal shelters and vets, and leave us a comment with exactly where your dog has gone missing from, and the circumstances. To upload photos and to leave comments you must be logged in ( left hand side ?log in button) and then once on your dogs page, click by the blue cross where it says ’add a comment’. We will do all we can to help. You need to poster widely immediately. James has no ID on him, so anyone finding him will need to see posters with your contact number. Good luck and hope you have good news soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
