BERTIE IS BACK !! Email from owner below. - I am over the moon Denise !! So pleased Bertie has been found safe, and thank you for letting us know. A re-united piccy would be lovely ! Welcome home gorgeous Bertie x Hello Hazel

We found Bertie on Friday night - he was in a neighbours garden, trapped under a
hedge with his head stuck in the handle of a bag, unable to wriggle out! I'm so
relieved we found him before it got too late and cold - what an enormous relief!

I'm afraid I haven't been able to work out how to update the website to add him
to the 'Reunited' section! Could you give me some instructions?

Many thanks for note and the attachments - I was on my way home with hundreds of
printed leaflets when my husband called to say he'd found him!!

So sorry Bertie has gone missing. Thank you for registering on Doglost and uploading a photo. Could you please let us know what breed Bertie is.   Notify all dog wardens, police , animal shelters and vets, and leave us a comment with any sightings and news of how you are getting on. To leave comments you must be logged in ( left hand side ?log in button)  and then once on your dogs page, click by the blue cross where it says 'add a comment'. You need to poster widely immediately.    There is a  good chance that Bertie is still around the area, and  can probably  find his way home.  Most dogs do come back to the place they last saw their owners. Leave a way open into the garden, and find a safe dry place to leave his bed, and some of your clothing that has been worn. This will carry your scent, and hopefully he will stay there and wait. Make sure you leave something with scent around the gateway. Also leave some smelly food such as tripe or pilchards and some water. He could find his way home during the night or very early hours of the morning before you are about.   Inform all your neighbours and flood the area with posters.  Hand out posters to dog walkers, postmen, etc, and on the back side windows of your car. Good luck and hope to see him on the reunited pages soon.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
