Glad Rosie is home safely. Although I agree with what you are saying NickyB I don't have collars on my dogs in the house as I have seen posts about dogs getting caught on cupboard handles and little ones under furniture by the collar and being strangled. They do however have one on when out but for the dog who escapes from the house or is allowed out accidentally by a visitor, workmen etc they may not have a collar and tag for that very reason. It's so hard as I'm not sure how you can ensure their safety both in and out at the same time. Microchips are with the dog wherever they are but as you say they need someone to have a chip reader. Difficult. xx

happy Rosie is home but wish all dogs had a collar with id tag so finder dog and owner could be reunited immediately. microchips need someone with a scanner
