WOOO HOOO this has made my day, thanks for the lovely email Helen, I am so overjoyed for you and your family.  Would love to have been a fly on the wall at your REUNION.  Well done Steve.  Give her a big big hug from everyone on DL.  Take it easy with her feeding and only give her a little at a time.  She will be very unsecure and follow you round like a shadow.  Please get her CHIPPED a.s.a.p. THANK YOU to the finder for ringing you and not frightening her away.    Thanks also to everyone who has posted and supported Helen and her family. Over to the BLUE you go Angel.  Way to go, look forward to the REUNITED photo when you are ready Helen.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for posting the info Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum greatly appreciated, this is exactly what I advised when speaking to Angel's owner yesterday. emailed it to them as well.  Gave them other dogs pages to look at who were in same circumstances and are now reunited, to get some tips. Had an email from Helen today, the dog that was taken by the DW was a male, her husband has been up the mountain since 7.00 a.m. cooking.  He went to three different areas and nothing not even a glimpse of her. Angel's owners are working so hard to find her, we need more sightings to see if she is travelling in a triangle, so hopefully they can work out where she may be and try to get ahead of her.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Don't know if someone's already mentioned it, but apparently it's better to sit on the ground and wait for her to come to you - don't look directly at her - just talk softly to try and coax her over or even sing quietly! Best of luck - hope your husband's got some thermals! Fingers and paws all crossed here for you xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

fantastic news that you sighted her! At least you can be assured that she is there and "Ok". Everything crossed that she is home with you soon either by being lured with sauages or through the DW! Hope your hubby wraps up warm if he out there! Loads of luck! Anna x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you everyone for your continued support. The area where she was sighted is about 2 miles of where she was lost. Its very secluded and dense. We caught sight of her having a drink in the marsh land very near a dense forest. I will keep you all updated about the developments tomorrow. My Husband is going to the mountain tomorrow with a BBQ to try to attract her. While me and the kids are going to phone the DW and ask detailes about the dog that was found in the womans garden. Fingers crossed that it is Angel! Thank you all again for your support and comments I just got to find her we all love her so much shes our baby. Thanks Helen  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks hello janey, owners are going to contact the DW to make enquiries if a trap is needed. They have had a phone call from a lady who has found a ESS today curled up in her garden, but cannot remember what sex it is or if it had a docked tail, the dog has been picked up by the DW.  The lady did say it looks like Angel going by her photo.  Helen is going to follow it up tomorrow.    Helen will hopefully update us later on the area where the dog was found.  Would be brill if it was Angel.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Brilliant that Angel has been sighted by her owners.   Have spoken to Helen's partner and discussed what to do if they see her, they are going to try and stay over in the area and have a BBQ.  The area she is in is very remote, but used by walkers, have advised to make sure whether they will need permission to stay on the land.    They have been scenting the area and leaving items of clothing also food.  Now she have been sighted they will concentrate on this area and mark any sightings on a map. Emailed some links of other dogs i.e. Rambo (GSD WF4), Jake (JRT YO1).  Fingers crossed and hopefully we will see Holly going into the BLUE soon.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, I have received the posters fine and will start displaying tomorrow. I also plan to come up to the mountains and walk my springer boy - Switch - who is the same age as Angel. People from the charity I volunteer for are now up to speed and promising to spread the word around their friends and other kennels etc. One question raised was: which said of the mountain did she disappear from? Aberdare, Maerdy or on top? Try and stay strong, you have lots of people sending you good luck thoughts and prays. Anna x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, what a beautiful girl. I also have a springer and where Angel went missing from is only up the road from me. I would be happy to help where I can i.e. displaying posters or going to  the area to look round and display more posters. I will also let the dog rescue centre that I volunteer for know so that they can also be on the look out. Good luck with your search. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to Helen earlier and gave advice on Scenting and what to do if they see her etc.  They are going to go to the area early in the morning and will be contacting DW's in area and surrouding areas. A4 poster and smaller posters, SCENTING instructions and further advice emailed to Helen.  Good luck hope they help in the search for Angel and you get good news soon, especially after the weekend if she is still missing.  Jan x If anyone is able to help with the postering etc please let us know and we can email posters to you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Angel is missing...have cross posted to springthing.3 and NESSR.
You may have to do scenting this should keep him in the area if you leave your scent and smelly food...but as she is not chipped and many dogs pick up daily ring around ALL DW Rescues,Pounds and keep doing it...also Poster , Poster , Poster so everyone knows Angel is missing...that way you should get that call. Good Luck x

Helen sorry to see Angel is missing, thanks for registering and putting her details on DL, great you have supplied a photo. We will do all we can to help you in your search for her.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1  just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Contact vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Do update us on who has been contacted ie DW’s etc and if you have started postering.   Return to the area she went missing, she may well return to the last place she seen you.  Leave some items of clothing and food such as pilchards.  Will email you some info shortly.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Angel is a very nervous dog and is very frightened of people and other dogs. She run away during a walk up Maerdy Mountain South Wales on the 1st November. She is not wearing a collar but is wearing a red harness. Any information please contact 01685 881683Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
