Yes, now we have a photo I can see that unfortunately this is not the lovely Nook;  lovely however he undoubtedly is and I do hope he can find his forever home soon.   Good luck to you, gorgeous boy xx

Any possibility this could be Nook?   The area is right.....   He could have been found, kept, chipped and then out again?
