CROSS POSTED UPDATE:

We are delighted to report that Rover has been found
He’s very dehydrated and has very sore burnt paws but ok - he’s off to the vets

He was found on the railways by the bus depot in Clifton road - it’s been the route he was taking for days

Network rail believed him to be deceased on the railway track but when they went to get him he lifted his head up

The family and volunteers are blown away with the help & kindess shown

Our volunteers have been out for 12 hours every day

His family & volunteers were literally yards away ..

Thankyou to network rail

There is now a fb group page:

CROSS POSTED UPDATE:

We will update each evening due to the amount of work going on behind the scenes. Apologies its not more often

So we’ve had a range of sightings across Runcorn today as he’s still covering some ground and not settling in one area long enough to set up cameras & a trap

Rover will start to slow down and we are starting to see some patterns emerging.

The sightings are coming in quicker and that had made a massive difference and is helping enormously - we really do appreciate the enormous support from people

We are requesting people don’t go out searching as we have a full team of volunteers and a few friends helping but keeping your eyes peeled.

The family are exhausted now but are thankful for everyone’s kind words

The thermal camera is being used and remote cameras & humane traps are at the ready

YOUR SUPPORT IS CRUCIAL
THANK YOU

To all the volunteers bravo for all your hard work today

Cmon Rover

CROSS POSTED UPDATES from BINDI’s this morning/last night:

We are asking people NOT to go actively searching around Weston point area please - possibly sighted on thermal last night by his family. We will be trying to trap him so would really appreciate it to be quiet in the area please without lots of people searching
We hope you understand
Thank you very much...........

Hi everyone
Sorry we can’t always respond to every query as we’re out searching ..
there have been.some very good sightings around Beechwood this afternoon and a possible one in Weston point
The problem that’s happening is people very kindly try to capture or grab Rover and so he bolts off and runs off in a completely different direction.
We really need for people who see him to take a photo if possible - ignore him and call the owners immediately or post on here
What’s happened is we’re chasing him and he will end up making unwise decisions

Thank you for the huge amount of support
It’s so appreciated
Thank you
