- Having just had a grot morning it was lovely to read of this fairytale ending, sadly due to fireworks, yet again another dog will have to endure the winter months in fear of the *** things. Stay safe from now on lad and well done to 'mum' for not giving up.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- This is great news, a big well done to Kingsley's owner to stay calm and remember the drill and to his 'girlfriend' who reached out to him while the capture was going on. Fantastic NewsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- FANTASTIC news, over the moon for his owner and family, well done for doing the right things, it really pays to have the right approach. Look forward to an update on how he is and if poss a REUNITED photo, he must be so pleased to be back home. Fingers crossed we see Esme (Bernese) reunited in the same way and in the BLUE soon. - KINGSLEY IS HOME !! Nearly 2 weeks after he went missing possibly having been frightened by fireworks , Kingsley's owner has found him.So many people had been on the lookout & doing searches in woods etc but only a few possible sightings had come in. Owner decided today to thoroughly check a very isolated woodland area down the lane from them where there had been a sighting. The weather was dreadful & the terrain very tough with deep drops & banks as well as thick wild undergrowth to fight her way through. Eventually coming to the back of a gun club that was closed for the winter. Owner had her other dog with her(a Pyrenean bitch),lead & food & was just beginning to feel very despondent as the path was blocked & Kingsley was nowhere to be seen. As she turned around to make her way through the thick wood again ..THERE HE WAS !!Owner very sensibly stopped, kept very quiet & let her Pyrenean bitch slowly(on lead) go forward with tail wagging towards Kingsley who slowly started to wag his tail .Owner then just softly spoke & gradually moved nearer whilst getting very wet gloves off & unzipping coat pocket to reach for lead ,all in a calm & none threatening way !!! Lead was gently put over Kingsley's head & a big sigh of relief for owner. Only way back was through this wild wood but Kingsley now home de-burred,a little thinner but otherwise in fine form. Welcome home Kingsley & a great big WELL DONE to your owner. Fantastic stuff. Steph xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
