- CROSS POSTED SAD UPDATE by FRESHFIELDS:
Yesterday we unfortunately received the news that Louie who was rehomed from Freshfields two years ago has passed away. His amazing family wanted to share the following:
‘We are absolutely heart broken to inform you that Louie, the Brittany we adopted from you in July 2020, crossed rainbow bridge yesterday.
We instantly fell in love with him when we saw his photos on the Freshfields site. At the time, we weren't looking for another dog, already having a 10 year old Brittany. When we read his story our hearts broke for him and we made contact. We were delighted to have been chosen to adopt him. Even so, we were apprehensive of what Harvie would make of another dog, having never had to share his home or humans with another. From the first meeting, it was clear that all would be well. And it was.
We gave Louie the best two years we could. We hiked hill and dale with him and cheered on many rugby matches until it was too much for him. His death is still very raw for us and Harvie is missing his brother.
RIP Louie
Gotcha 17.07.20 - 28.07.2022’
Thank you SO much to the Smith family for giving Louie an amazing last two years. ♥οΈ - 2020-06-10 15:41 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

Details on Freshfields
The beautiful stray Spaniel who came to us last Tuesday is still in our care. We are now aware of the owner and are still trying to make contact. He was quite matted and full of feces around his bum and legs but has since had a good groom and some much needed tlc. If you believe you have any information about this dog please call the rescue on 0151 931 1604. - 2020-06-03 21:21 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

Was contacted direct by Freshfields where he was handed into. Been following things up and found out he has been found on previous times. Made contact with relative of owner to find out he has since been REHOMED. Not got the details yet of his new owner, who should contact the Animal Wardens or Freshfields direct. Also made Freshfields and Animal Warrdens aware.
Thanks for everyone who is helping to find his owner.
