What a lovely boy Ice is.  Well done to everyone involved in getting him home with his family.  Wishing his family a very happy future together, give him an extra cuddle from everyone on DL.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you so much everyone, and especially to Steph, whose calm and practical advice was spot on!  It was fantastic to have someone call me - it really gave me hope and a sense of being supported.  I'm SO grateful to have Ice back with my daughter - and H and her partner can't wipe the smiles from their faces :-D  Ice is booked for his microchip and is sporting a brand new collar and ID tag - he also now has a place in doggy daycare for the couple of hours where the kid's shifts overlap, so he will never be a target for thieves again.  I've even found them a more secure flat near me, in an area where they are less likely to be burgled! My advice to anyone else in this situation is to try to get as big a story as possible in the local paper... email the editor with the story rather than phoning, play up the pathos angle - especially if there are children or young adults involved (my Daughter is only 17 - which helped in getting so large a story), or other pining animals.  Email photo's to the paper as well.  The Luton Herald want to do a follow up story next week, so I'll be sure to tell them all about the fantastic work that you do on this site. Thanks again, and if there is any way that I can help out in this area then let me know :-)   Molly  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Absolutely brilliant news - well done for making this gorgeous little lad too hot to handle. As JulieS has said, we tell tell by the photos how precious he is to you! Please make sure that Ice receives a chip and a nice new shiny ID tag on his collar (an ID tag is actually a legal requirement) as a welcome home present!

Just had a call from Molly & ICE IS HOME ! Ice went into the local paper yesterday.(The Luton Herald & Post)in a 1/4 page article. The papers were delivered in the area at about 6.30 pm . At 8.30pm a woman went into the police station near the owners & left ICE there, not wanting to leave any details or give any information! Ice had become just too hot ot handle. He was fine though. A big thank you to the paper for running this article & well done to Ice's family for working so hard to get him back. Welcome Home Ice !  Stephxx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is my Daughter's puppy - her first pet of her own now that she has left home.  Thanks to the same burglars responsible for the loss of the dog she has no computer access, so I am posting this on her behalf.  Thanks for looking.   MollyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
